This book has been in my library for a few years now and I've finally read it. Does anyone else have a library that keeps growing while you've only read about 20% of the books in it? I originally bought it because I've heard so many leaders rant and rave about how great of a book this was. It's on John Maxwell's Lifetime Must Read List.
The beginning of the book was a little slow, but after a few chapters, I could not put it down! This was the first book I've read that was specifically about one leaders life. I am usually just reading books with leadership principles in them. I thought it was absolutely fascinating to read about how Abraham Lincoln lived his life and led our country through the hardest time in its history. I would suggest this book to anyone who enjoys history and leadership and wants practical application of leadership principles and concepts.
After reading this book, I've decided that I am going to make a habit of reading biographies and autobiographies of great leaders of the past and present. (Another Bubba Kick...Whew!)
