Oh yes, the dastardly deeds of the Revolution staff. More specifically, me and Bubs. Even more specifically, me. Here is the backstory:
Zacky the Blair was preparing a sermon and being kind of crabby. He locked his door and shut his blinds to make sure he was not going to be interrupted. This was the perfect time to strike.
At first, I stuffed some postcards under his door. I stuffed as many as I could in hopes of getting enough under there to keep the door from opening. (You can see some of them in the picture below) Luckily, my brain hatched another idea. This one involved actually trying to keep Zack in his office for awhile (or at least make it difficult to get out).
Fortunately for the prank, Zack's office door opens in toward his office with a bathroom door across from his door. After some quick consulting with Bubba, I decided to tie Zack's doorknob to the bathroom's doorknob. I really wanted to use some rope so it would not break, but I would have had to borrow it from Maintenance, and then there really would have been trouble if that broke. Instead, I took two old ties we had stored away in a closet in the Jr. High and tied them together.
So although it was not ideal, it was all in place. Eventually Bubba, Scott Dozier, and I were all outside Zack's office when we heard him try to open his door. My guess is he probably looked out and saw our Ties of Despair because when he opened it, he did not use your everyday "I think I'll open this door now" effort. As we ran off like a bunch of young girls to a Backstreet Boys concert, we heard the sound of something ripping. At the time, we were not sure if it was the ties or if the bathroom door was experiencing some stress, but it turned out to be the ties ripping in two. Maybe next time we will go all the way with the prank and get something that will not rip.
I still have not seen Zack post-prank, and maybe it is better that way. Though I can almost guarantee this will not be the last ghoulish scheme ever devised against the Zack Blair. Until then, if you have any ideas as to some pranks we can pull off on the ZB, let me know. I'm all ears.
